Warranty Service for Dell Products

 
UBMicro is enrolled as a Campus Computer Center in Dell's Warranty Parts Direct program and is permitted to offer repair services to faculty, staff, students, and department end-user customers who request that UBMicro service their product.

You can contact Dell directly by calling (800) 624-9896 or (888) 560-8324 for their repair support line. You can go online for Dell Repair Support.

If your system is under warranty for both parts and labor, UBMicro will perform necessary hardware repairs at no cost. UBMicro will order any necessary replacement parts, install and test replacement parts, and return defective parts to Dell.

If your warranty covers parts, but not labor, a facilitation fee will apply if you did not buy your computer from UBMicro. Examples would include Inspiron and Studio notebooks not purchased at UBMicro. Click here for repair rates.

If your system is not under warranty, UBMicro can make the necessary repairs. A diagnostic fee will apply (parts and labor not included). Click here for repair rates.

Manufacturer warranties do not cover software. If your hard drive is replaced under warranty, the hard drive and installation of the new hard drive is covered, but the re-installation of your software is not covered. Data backup and software only repairs are also not covered under warranty. If you have a qualified warranty repair, you are eligible for a discounted rate to UBMicro's Reload and Restore service for your software. Click here for repair rates.
