Important Dell Ownership Transfer Information:

The following describes how to register ownership of your new computer with Dell. Should you require warranty repair services directly from Dell or from an authorized Dell warranty service provider other than UBMicro, you will need to be on file with Dell as the owner of your computer. This is especially important if you choose to call Dell directly and have parts shipped to your home or office.

Transferring ownership is equivalent to completing a warranty registration card. So do not delay - do it now.

To register ownership, your Service Tag and Service Express Code are required. They can be found:
  • on the back of the computer tower or
  • the bottom of the notebook

Once you have these codes, visit the Dell web site to complete your transfer.

If you are using the system you want to transfer, click Find My Service Tag.

If you are using a different computer, click "What if I'm not using the computer that I need to transfer ownership?"

  • Under Previous Owner fill in "UB" for the First and Last name. Enter your information as the new owner.

Fill out the remainder of the form and click submit.
